Client: Nazareth Farm
Nonprofit organizations often rely on emotional storytelling to capture the true benefit behind their work. The goal of Nazareth Farm’s monthly newsletter was just this - to tell a story that reminds its readers of the life-changing work that this organization does.
I began by meeting with a senior copywriter to concept the newsletter based on the month’s theme. We discussed the client testimonial and the mission of the brand so I could familiarize myself with the goals of the project. Once I’d gathered my notes from the initial meeting, I considered the organization’s relationships with its clients, donors, and volunteers to craft each of the three segments of the newsletter. With each segment, I tailored my presentation of the story to resonate with the different members of the Naz Farm community so each type of reader could connect with the power of the volunteer experience shared in the testimonial.
This particular set of emails achieved an average 40% click through rate.
