Client: The Salvation Army Indiana Division
Christmas is one of The Salvation Army’s busiest seasons, and it requires the help of hundreds of volunteers to serve just one city at Christmastime. The goal of this social media post was to increase volunteer signups for The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Christmas program.
To evoke excitement about volunteering, I implemented positive, holiday-friendly verbiage such as “hope” and “joy” to highlight the deep benefit of being a volunteer during the holiday season. The use of numerical data allowed me to indicate the level of impact this program will have, as well as emphasize the number of volunteers necessary to complete the project. This information was used to create a sense of urgency to generate volunteer sign-ups.
